A project exploring laughter in schools. It plans to include laughter assemblies, community laughter events, a year 6 pupil-designed research projects to see how laughter helps us, a final celebration with all schools involved, skills transfer for volunteers, and creation of a toolkit to share what we discover.  The project began in January 2020 and will last until the end of 2020.  We are introducing an online element to the project during the first half of 2020.

Clean Drinking Water project, Ghana

Scheme: Global Grant through the Rotary Club of Manchester

Funder: Our own fundraising plus The Rotary Foundation.

We managed this £30,000 project through our role as a volunteer with the Rotary Club of Manchester, fellow Rotarians, and Kids Foundation.  The community of Fievie Dugame had been getting their water from a pond shared with cattle; now they have a resilient mains supply of clean drinking water, management committee to run it, and greater awareness of hygiene and sanitation issue.
