Ghana: vocational training and support resources In 2018 we decided to support a 30 year old man in Accra, Ghana, who had volunteered to help us on our visit to Volta Region. He lives with underlying health issues, and was living in poverty. He scraped by as a door to door salesman. He was passionate about hair and beauty and happiness, so we sponsored him through vocational training where he was an award winning student. Now he is trying to establish himself with work. A typical salary is £100 per month, but medication, food, rent and transport cost him much more than this. We have committed to support him with £175 each month until March 2021 with a view to him working, getting his own clients, and planning ahead for his future.
