We laugh and serve.
How the laughter work started
In 1997, Robin attended the Art Of Living Basic Course (now known as The Happiness Programme). Following the course, participants came together and joined others to practice the techniques learned and to listen to knowledge. .
"We Laugh and Serve."
In 1998, one piece of knowledge was about Laughter Clubs. And this inspired four members of the group to try laughter meditations together at home. Part of it is in the image above.
The knowledge says that Laughter helps us "to sail through life's problems", and it makes us be "radiant and beautiful". This inspired Robin to go further and to develop ideas around laughter as a way of building happier, stronger, more compassionate individuals and communities.
There is now a community service project run by Feelgood Communities - the UK National Laughter Festival and Championships. It began in 2012 to help us in sharing and spreading the laughter. It takes place in June around the UK.
Robin says with deep gratitude, "That knowledge sheet has changed my life."
